The “The East Wing Renovation” was Town School’s first installment of a multi-phased project to modernize its facility for 21st Century learners. Scope included seismic strengthening (installed new steel beams, excavated and poured new foundations, built retaining walls); new window system replaced rear facade of the school’s East Wing; new electrical, mechanical and sprinkler systems and asbestos abatement throughout facility. Fisher built 13 new classrooms, a new Art Center and STEM lab. The lunch room got new foundations and installed new duct work and exhaust system in the kitchen. The theater’s stadium seating was removed, floor was excavated and trenched in order to add new footings. The project is in the process of becoming CHPS verified.
