The son and grandson of San Francisco builders, founder Robert S. Fisher made Fisher Development into one of the most recognized and respected names in construction. As a developer of residential subdivisions in the early 1970s, Bob learned the business from the ground up. In 1974, fast-growing specialty retailer Gap Inc. asked Fisher Development to build their stores.

During this storied 35-year partnership, which was built on trust and mutual respect, Bob’s business model enabled Gap’s meteoric growth by having the capability to scale to meet the demands of its client anywhere in North America and Europe. Fisher parlayed this model and transformed the retail TI industry by successfully doing large scale rollouts for other top global brands. Today, 48 years after its founding, Bob is still the heart and soul of Fisher.
