Charles Armstrong School
Scope: The 2014 summer landscape beautification and rain garden had the added challenge of a planned month-long shut down in July to accommodate the summer school program. Scope included demolition and site work of a 10,000 square foot outdoor space between two main classroom buildings. Our team installed all new systems including drainage, irrigation, and a bioswale plus new plantings. We built a concrete sidewalk connecting two classroom buildings, an Ipe deck and benches along the sidewalk. The centerpiece of the new space is a custom fountain fabricated of Corten steel and student artwork.
