Fisher Development remodels Town School for Boys

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (September 23, 2009)—One of San Francisco’s leading independent day schools completed a remodel of its facility in time for students returning to classes this Fall, according to Fisher Development.

Town School for Boys now enjoys a newly remodeled library & reading room and business office. The scope involved working on every floor and the roof. New walls, electrical, data, doors, millwork, carpet, paint, plumbing and HVAC were installed. Also included in the interior scope was minor repair work in the kitchen and dining room.

The rooftop playground got a facelift as well. FDI replaced the perimeter fencing and installed a new play surface. Waterproofing portions of the roof and painting also took place.

“This was an ideal project where we parlayed our experience as fast-track retail specialists into a quick remodel for Town School,“ said Alex Fisher of Fisher Development. “We routinely compress schedules to help our clients meet their immovable deadlines, which in this case was the first day of school.“

“FDI was looking out for our best interests every step of the way,“ said Nancy Doty, Director of Finance and Operations at Town School. “They were not only organized and methodical in their approach to managing the project, they also presented us with ideas that saved us time and money.“
