FDI Builds Showroom and Store for G-star Raw
Dutch Denim Retailer Brings Edgy Fashion to US
NEW YORK, NY (January 31, 2006) — Fisher Development, Inc. recently completed G-Star Raw Denim’s first New York showroom and its boutique on Newbury Street in Boston.
The 10,000 square foot showroom located in New York’s historic SOHO district features the company’s signature rudimentary and raw style with polished concrete floors, exposed ceilings and industrial fixtures.
“Partnering with Fisher Development has been a welcome and refreshing experience,” said Oep Schilling, G-Star’s Director of Interiors. “They took the time to understand our priorities, and they delivered exactly what they promised. The service and executive-level attention we received was excellent.”
The Newbury Street store’s hard-edged, industrial design elements of G-Star’s other retail locations in Europe and the U.S. are a striking addition to this trendy section of Boston. The 1,600 square foot store faced the usual challenges of doing construction in downtown Boston. Because of the team’s meticulous planning during pre-construction, the 12-week project progressed seamlessly.
