FDI GETS TOP GREEN BUILDING HONOR IN
"BEST OF 2010" AWARDS
The Crissy Field Center recognized as best green building project in Nor. California
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (September 20,2010)— The new Crissy Field Center earned the top spot in the category of “Green Building” in a statewide competition recognizing construction and design excellence, McGraw-Hill Construction announced today.
The jury awarded projects based on entry criteria, including project management and client service, safety, design and functionality.
“We’ve always known the new Crissy Field Center, with its innovative Project Frog design and numerous eco-friendly building features was a truly ground-breaking project,” said FDI CEO Robert S. Fisher. “It’s wonderful and validating to have it officially recognized by such a prestigious organization.”
This 7,500 square foot building is not just another pretty face. The Project Frog design is one of the most technologically advanced, energy efficient buildings in existence. And time to market beats out conventional construction—this structure went from concept to completion in just nine (9) months.
The Crissy Field Center houses high performance classrooms, a science lab, administrative offices, a café and visitor’s center.
LEED Gold certification is pending.
