Robert S. Fisher founded Fisher Development in 1971 in his native San Francisco. He started out as a home-builder, developing subdivisions in Northern California. He built his first retail store in 1974 for Gap Inc., and gradually made the transition from residential builder to commercial contractor. Mr. Fisher has grown the business at an impressive rate, expanding it into what is now one of the most distinguished and respected construction companies in North America. Many of the company's projects have received awards for quality construction. This year marks his Golden Anniversary in the construction industry, distinguishing him among the most experienced in his field. He holds a bachelor of science in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley.
